Amistar's core competency, engineering complex machines for the automation of specialized processes, includes expertise in mechanism design, servo systems, fluid control, electro-mechanical systems design, sensor systems, barcode and RFID systems, illumination and optical systems, robotics, and software system design with friendly interfaces and efficient integration with Customers' computer processes. Special attention is paid to making each design cost effective, reliable in operation, efficient to manufacture, and easy to maintain. Production machines are manufactured in an ISO-9001:2000 certified factory.

Amistar applies these talents to the design and manufacture of standard, off-the-shelf products, and to customer-specific machines that solve specialized process and manufacturing requirements. In addition, Amistar's Marketing and Field Service organization provides support for both the standard and custom Amistar products as well as the electronics manufacturing automation designed and built by Amistar's Japanese partner, iPULSE Co. Ltd, a division of Yamaha Motor Group.
